In the afternoon on March 29, the Party Committee of Shanghai Economy Informatization organized a great survey to promote "made-in-Shanghai Brands". Lu Xiaochun, Party Secretary of the Municipal Economic Informatization, and other members of the Party Committee's Center Group, the principals of some central enterprises and city-level state-owned enterprises, and the persons in charge of the Shanghai Channel of people.com.cn and the Business Channel of Liberation Daily were present at the survey on invitation. As the representative of principals of central enterprises, Party Secretary, Chairman and President Xu Datong participated in the event on invitation and attended a panel discussion.
This survey represents detailed measures for the Party Committee of Municipal Economy Informatization to follow out the decision made by Shanghai Municipal Party Committee to promote the building of "Shanghai Service", "Made in Shanghai", "Shopping in Shanghai" and "Shanghai Culture", as well as to carry out a "great survey". The Survey Team successively visited Peninsula Bay Fashion Culture Creativity Park, Shanghai Watches Limited and SGSB Group Co., Ltd., and carried out a panel discussion.
As the only representative of central enterprises, President Xu gave a communicating speech themed by the promotion of "made-in-Shanghai Brands" at the panel discussion. According to him, China Haisum, as a Shanghai-based central enterprise specializing in light industrial projects, has witnessed the start, growth, reform and take-off of light industry in the New China, and participated in and promoted the technology transformation and industry upgrading of light manufacturing over the past 65 years since its founding. In response to the great decision made by the Municipal Party Committee to promote made-in-Shanghai brands, President Xu gave three suggestions: First, make use of international service experience and standards to stimulate the high-quality development of products made in Shanghai; second, respond to the OBOR initiative, and help made-in-Shanghai brands go abroad; third, facilitate the revival of made-in-Shanghai brands by establishing investment & financing platforms.
