The kick-off meeting for preparing the Terminology Standard for Light Industrial Engineering was recently held in Shanghai. Qi Yongyi, Vice President of China Haisum Engineering Co.,Ltd. and Deputy Director of Standard Committee of the Association attended and chaired the meeting; Bi Minna from the Standardization Department under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and 19 experts and representatives from China Association of Light Industrial Engineering Construction and the Headquarters, Beijing Branch, Guangzhou Branch, Changsha Branch and Wuhan Branch of China Haisum Engineering Co.,Ltd. were present at the meeting.
As one of the Chinese national standards for engineering construction, the Terminology Standard is initiated and prepared as per the Circular of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on the Printing and Issuance of Plan 2019 for Preparation of Engineering Specification and Standard and Related Assignments (JBH [2019] No. 8), with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as the principal drafting organization and China Association of Light Industrial Engineering Construction as the organizing agency.
At the meeting, Bi Minna brought forward the overall requirements on precautions and scheduling etc. for the preparation of the Terminology Standard; Dong Hui, Vice Chairman of China Association of Light Industrial Engineering Construction and Director of the Standard Committee briefly introduced the preliminary details of the preparation of Terminology Standard; China Haisum Engineering Co., Ltd. introduced the preparation outline (draft) for the Terminology Standard.
According to the meeting, China Haisum Engineering Co., Ltd. will serve as the principal drafting organization for the Standard, i.e. the general responsible organization for the present preparation, and all subsidiaries under China Haisum Engineering Co., Ltd. will serve as drafting organizations; the meeting approved the preparation outline for the Terminology Standard, determined the titles of key chapters and sections of the Terminology Standard, and reached a consensus on the preparing method, preparing efforts allocation and schedule control etc. for the Standard; minutes of meeting were established and kept.
The kick-off meeting came to a successful end in a pragmatic and efficient manner, having set the tone and solid foundation for the following two years of preparation.
