From April 19 to 20, the 2021 Q1 production and operation meeting and digital transformation seminar of Haisum was held in Changsha. The meeting summarized and analyzed the Q1 production and operation results of the year, discussed the company's development thoughts of digital transformation and deployed work tasks of the next stage. The company’s CPC Committee Secretary and Company Chairman Zhao Guoang attended the meeting and made a concluding speech. The CPC Committee Deputy Secretary and Company President Chen Rongrong presided over the meeting and delivered a keynote speech. Du Haiming, the assistant to the director of the Corporate Development Department of SinoLight Corporation, attended the meeting as a non-voting delegate. The leadership team of Haisum, the main persons in charge of the affiliated units of the headquarters and the financial officer of each subsidiary attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Chen firstly conveyed the important instructions of Liu Hualong, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Poly Group, on safe production, requiring all the units to attach great importance to production safety with four "must": that is, safety awareness must be alerted; responsibility system for safe production must be implemented; potential safety hazard investigation must be thoroughly done and the drill must be pragmatic and effective. Combining the development and reform tasks of SinoLight Corporation in 2021, Chen put forward four tasks and requirements: firstly, the company must strengthen digital transformation; secondly, the company must accelerate digital transformation; thirdly, the company must strengthen risk prevention and control; and fourthly, the company must actively explore the capital operation and deepen the reform of mixed ownership.
Subsequently, Chen, on behalf of the company's management team, comprehensively summarized the production and operation of Haisum in Q1 of the year and made comparative analysis and comments on the business performance of each subsidiary. He emphasized that the company's digital transformation started late and lacked an organizational strategy. It was necessary to recognize the thorny issues in front of the company's development through the operating data; it was necessary to adhere to the problem orientation, straighten out the thinking, and empower the endogenous needs of enterprise upgrading through digital means; it was necessary to transform business methods and make transitions from the production- and market-centered business approach to a customer-centered business approach in four basic elements, namely, the customer value, cost, scale, and profitability, and build advantages of the company in business; the company also was required to form organizational synergy to enhance high-quality professional planning capabilities, organizational capabilities, product reengineering and integration capabilities, digital and intelligent transformation capabilities to cultivate core competitiveness of the company in the future and pinpoint the second growth pole for enterprise development.
At the meeting, Lin Lin, the company's Chief Financial Officer, made an analysis report on the company's Q1 financial status, analyzed the company's overall financial status, economic benefits, assets and fund status in the first quarter of the year in depth. The Contract Manager Xu Yongmin made a summary report and comparative analysis on the company's production and operation in the first quarter of 2021 and the whole year of 2020. Chen Ping, the Human Resources Manager, made a special speech on "organizational structure reform"; and the Head Office Third Design/Engineering Department Deputy General Manager Zhang Zhi, on behalf of the Market Development Center, delivered a report themed on the "Enterprise Exhibition Hall Program", Pan Zhixiang, the Deputy Director of the EIM Digital Innovation Center, gave a work report themed on "Digital Transformation", and Wang Tao from Guangzhou Company made a speech themed on the "Smart Factory Project" on behalf of the BIM Center.
At the end of the meeting, Zhao Guoang made a concluding speech and put forward specific requirements from the following five aspects:
Firstly, we must accurately grasp the situation and correctly view the first quarter’s performance. The current overseas pandemic situation continues to rage, and the confrontational factors in international relations have been increasing, so the challenges are still severe. We must rationally look at China's economic data and the company's profit growth in the first quarter to seek innovation, promote development, make up for shortcomings, speed up the collection of accounts receivable, and narrow the gap between companies. Secondly, we must raise the level of awareness and promote reforms on the basis of ensuring business performance. It is necessary to think in a unified way from the six aspects of strategy formulation, organizational reform, process reengineering, core competitiveness remodeling, salary incentive system innovation, and corporate culture construction to fully understand the need for change, follow the objective laws of development, and build a good organizational structure and make dynamic adjustments along with the development process of the company. All subsidiaries must follow the trend by shifting from passive to active and creating new mechanisms to adapt to the overall development needs in the future. Thirdly, we must align to the changes in national strategy and actively fit into the development and transformation. It is necessary to fully understand the significance of digital transformation by strengthening the learning, changing thoughts, refining rules and ensuring implementation, actively cultivate six capabilities of the "product innovation capability, production and operation control capability, user service capability, ecological cooperation capability, employee empowerment capability, and data development capability". The company shall fully understand the impact of carbon peaking, carbon neutrality, and the "3060 Target" on China, carefully study the seven major investment and green infrastructure investment areas that have spawned from this, seize market opportunities and get prepared for the "shifting". Fourthly, we must strengthen brand building and effectively support market expansion. We need to conduct concentrated analysis and research on Haisum's brand building, and continue to strengthen brand public relations and publicity capabilities. We must work together, support, and cooperate with the construction of the Haisum Brand Exhibition Hall. On the basis of systematically expanding the market, we shall further improve internal coordination, strengthen exchanges, cooperation and information sharing with the four major research institutes under the Group and various companies to achieve a rationalized market layout through moderate intervention. Fifthly, we must strengthen the organization of Party history learning and education activities, implement production safety tasks and strengthen risk prevention and control. It is necessary to "learn from history to make sense, increase credit, respect morality, and exert practice" and to educate and guide all Party cadres to "study the Party history, understand ideas, do practical things, and open a new ground"; we must attach great importance to safe production and improve political standing to ensure effective implementation; we must seek development while doing a good job in risk prevention and control.
Zhao emphasized that through studying the Party history to achieve not forgetting the original intention and keeping the mission in mind, focusing on operation with one hand, and reform and innovation with the other, we shall strive to complete the production tasks in the first half of the year and present outstanding achievements as a gift for the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC.
During the meeting, the participants also brainstormed on how to carry out the digital transformation of the enterprise.
