Good news also came from the Shanghai Doping Testing Laboratory Project designed and completed by the team from the Shanghai Business Departments of Haisum. The project has been successfully accepted and will soon be put into use.
The project is constructed in accordance with the standards of "World vision, international standards, Chinese characteristics, and high-point positioning", which is another major action of the national anti-doping work. It not only plays an important and basic role in improving China's doping testing ability and testing level, but also plays an important role in promoting the construction of "sports power" and "healthy China" and successfully hosting the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing. The completion of the laboratory marks that China has become the first country to have two doping laboratories, indicating that it has the initiative in doping testing, and has achieved the unique condition of one for use and one for standby.
The project is located in Yangpu District, Shanghai, covering an area of 6667m2, mainly including the main building with four floors (doping testing laboratories) and an auxiliary building with four floors (auxiliary supporting rooms). The main building includes many testing laboratories such as the Beijing Doping Testing Center, which can test all banned drugs listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), providing a strong guarantee for the development of China's sports industry. The auxiliary building mainly has the functions of catering, reception, office and physical examination and recovery of athletes. It not only provides powerful conditions for scientific research capacity building, international academic exchange, policy and regulation research and talent team training, but also can establish a regular co-construction and consultation mechanism in the later operation, which makes it possible for the sustainable development of laboratories.

Due to the limited space of the construction base and the shortage of land, the Haisum project team arranged those rooms with large space around the site, leaving the middle area empty, forming an available multi-functional square. A stepped vision space was created at the main entrance, which achieves the purpose of seeing the big in the small. Moreover, the roof platform on the second floor can be planted with plants to create a view.
Green and Energy Saving
The project adopted the methods of interleaving and crossing to form two mutually occluded "L" shaped buildings, which, on the one hand, reduces the transportation and testing flow line of experimental personnel, on the other hand, can meet the lighting and ventilation of various spaces and reduce energy consumption. The building is built according to the two-star standard of green building, which not only saves energy and cost, but also meets the needs of sustainable buildings required by the state.
Rhythmical and Permanent
Combined with the premise of "mutual understanding, long-term friendship, unity and fair competition" of the sports spirit, the architectural shape is designed into a serrated shape with sporting significance, and the upper and lower layers are crisscrossed, implying a long time. Both indoor and outdoor use white as the keynote, highlighting that both testing and sportsmanship should be fair and equitable.
The project team of Haisum keeps pace with the times, is innovative, and is committed to building an internationally cutting-edge architecture of the times.
